Sargoth
Sargoth Grelsh
Sargoth was the 3rd son of Jakkar an armorsmith that lived just outside xxxxxxxx(a non dragonborn town) located xxxxxxxx. With both of his brothers set to learn the family trade it was up to Sargoth to make his own way. Sargoth was often tasked with making the several day journey to the nearby Dwarven stronghold of xxxxxxxx to get some of the rare metals used by his father to make special orders. It was during these trips that he witnessed the powerful attack styles of the Maul and it became clear that he wanted to dedicate his life to the mastery of this weapon.
Sargoth could not convince the Dwarves to train him with their defense force since he was an outsider, but one of the commanders struck by his dedication gave him the name of a Dwarf, Treval, that lived apart from the others in a remote area near the top of the mountain. Treval had sought isolation after the loss of his left arm from a poison during a war with the Drow years ago. The commander was actually Treval’s brother and he thought that this could be an opportunity to draw Treval out of isolation by getting him to feel useful by sharing his vast fighting knowledge even if he could no longer be the warrior he was.
Sargoth found Treval and in the face of his dedication to the path of the warrior agreed to teach him. For several years Sargoth trained with Treval making occasional trips home to bring his family supplies they would request. During one such trip home as he got close to home he noticed smoke and realized his fathers house was on fire. Sargoth rushed to the house, but all he saw was a glimpse of a group of riders speeding away. As he rushed into the house his worst fears were realized as all of his family had been butchered. The blaze quickly spread through the house and it was destroyed. In the process of burying his family he found a medallion with a snapped chain in his fathers hand. The medallion was of xxxxxxxx and Sargoth’s only clue as to who did this to his family. He made an oath that when he finished his training and set out on his own he would seek out information on the medallion and bring these people to justice.
